Sweet Things

Sweet Things is a new seires of paintings that I am currently working on. The series will consist of paintings of still life and figures in the environment that depict sweet things, literally and metaphorically. More paintings will be posted as they are completed!

p.s. approximately 2 years ago, I shipped my initial 6 cupcake paintings to a gallery on Long Island called, APW Gallery. They had regular open calls and I thought it would be a good opportunity for me to have these paintings shown. The show has come and gone. I have been trying, unsuccessfully, for the last 2 years to get these paintings back. I have also found out that many artists who've participated in APW's open calls have also never received their paintings. I am planning a trip to NY in the near future and will be visiting their gallery to either pick up my paintings or get paid, but in the interim I wanted to share this story with anyone who will read this: Be weary about participating in any open calls with APW Gallery. Also, please research before you enter into open calls of any kind, you will be grateful in the long run!
